Staff recommends the City Council cancel the regular meeting of Tuesday, January 3, 2023.

BACKGROUND:
Typically, the City conducts regularly scheduled City Council meetings on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. However, the January 3, 2023 regular meeting follows the holidays and the closure of City Hall from Friday, December 23, 2022 through Monday, January 2, 2023. Hence, it is recommended that the January 3, 2023 regular Council meeting be cancelled due to this timing. The regular Council meeting of January 17, 2023 will still be held.
ANALYSIS:
To ensure the City can conduct its business and accommodate schedules and deadlines due to the holidays, staff is proposing to cancel the regular meeting on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.
ALTERNATIVES:
City Council could choose to provide alternate direction.
FISCAL REVIEW:
There is no fiscal impact to approving this item.
LEGAL REVIEW:
The City Attorney’s Office has reviewed the report and approved as to form.
CITY COUNCIL GOALS AND PRIORITIES:
This item is administrative in nature.
